Air Freight Shipping

Air freight typically arrives at the destination airport within 3-7 days, compared to 4-6 weeks for ocean freight. Including customs clearance and final delivery, most door-to-door air freight shipments are completed within 7-14 days. Ocean freight door-to-door is usually 5-8 weeks.

Air freight generally costs 4-6 times more per kilogram than ocean freight. However, for small, lightweight, or time-sensitive shipments, the premium is often worth it. We can provide quotes for both options so you can make an informed decision. Many clients use a combination of air and ocean freight to balance speed and cost.

There is no strict weight limit — we can ship anything from a small parcel to multi-ton commercial cargo by air. Pricing is based on either actual weight or volumetric (dimensional) weight, whichever is greater. We will calculate both and quote you the applicable rate.

Lithium batteries are classified as dangerous goods for air transport and are subject to strict regulations. Small lithium batteries contained within devices (like laptops or phones) can generally be shipped with proper declaration. Loose or standalone lithium batteries may have restrictions. We will advise you on the specific regulations for your shipment.

Most clients use both. Air freight (3-7 days transit) is ideal for essentials you need immediately — seasonal clothing, documents, medication, electronics, and items of sentimental value. Ocean freight (10-18 days port-to-port) is far more affordable for bulk belongings — furniture, kitchenware, books, and the majority of your household goods. We recommend shipping your sea freight 4-6 weeks before you fly, and sending a smaller air freight shipment with essentials timed to arrive shortly after you land.
